The Department prides itself on the high quality patient care in areas of Adolescent health, of Antenatal Care, Post-Natal care, Infertility and Baby care. It strives to incorporate excellent clinical services with dedicated activities. Dr. Sr. Daisy MBBS, who served this hospital for almost 30 years, built up a well appreciated Gynecology department and is the back bone of all our services. Dr. Sr. Jessy Joseph MBBS DGO is the head of the department at present. She has also done Post Graduate Certificate course in Pediatrics, Geriatric Medicine and palliative care.
Our practice offers patient-centered gynecologic care for a culturally and socio-economically diverse population. We provide general gynecology services including routine examination, cervical cancer screening, consultation for benign gynecological conditions and procedural interventions, including PAP smear, Abdominal and Vaginal Hysterectomy, Polypectomy, Diagnostic Dilatation & Curettage (D & C), etc.
A Multi-disciplinary approach is undertaken while dealing with high risk pregnancies. Our team works closely with Pediatric specialists to plan the care of pre-mature babies, sick or with birth defects. The Department’s vision is to establish a centre of excellence which addresses the reproductive health needs of women.
